Events Manager ("the App", "we", "our") is built and operated by Akshat Gadodia / Studio by Akshat Gadodia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you register, we collect your name, email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We never receive or store your Google password.

Information you enter and that the App records

This includes:

events you create: names, dates, places, budgets, photos and attachments
guests you add: names and contact details, invitation status and replies (RSVPs)
team members you invite by email

Device and usage data

We may log standard server-side information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you access, solely for security monitoring and debugging. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, operate and improve the App
To authenticate your identity and protect your account
To send notifications and emails that are part of the App or that you have opted into
To respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers managed by us. Authentication uses short-lived JSON Web Tokens (JWT), and your password is stored only as a hash. All communication between the App and the server is encrypted over HTTPS.

While we take reasonable security measures, no method of internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

4. Third-Party Services

Email

Invitations, reply confirmations, host notifications and team invitations are sent by email on the host's behalf.

Google Sign-In

If you use Google Sign-In, your login is authenticated through Google's OAuth 2.0 service. We only receive your name and email address from Google.

Push notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a device token and use Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to deliver them.

5. Your Rights

Access: the data you have entered is visible within the App.
Export: you can download a copy of your data from your account settings.
Deletion: to delete your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.
Correction: you can edit or delete your own records directly within the App.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
